Dinner? (Victoire/Teddy) « Thread Started on Sept 2, 2007, 3:50pm »
Gabriella came down the stairs to the kitchen, It was still the summer holidays and her and Victoire wasn't due to go back to Hogwarts for a few more days. In all honesty Gabriella didn't want to go back people thought her as a murderer. "Gaby, Where's your sister?" Her mother fleur asked as she saw her. "Still getting ready I think. Making sure every hair is in place." She said with a weak smile. "Oh hunny I know this is hard for you at the moment. I miss that smile of yours." "I don't feel like smiling, mum.... I'm going to Lily's." "No your not, we've invited Teddy over for dinner and we would like it if you were here this time." "But...." "No buts.... You and Teddy always get along." "Yea... when him an Victoire arn't busy making mushy faces to each other." She said, what she was 12?
Summer was being quite enjoyable, aside from not as much break as when he was in school. But on the bright side, Victoire wasn't in school and that meant he could see her more than during a school year. Part of him wished he was still in school, aside from the comments of werewolf haters it was quite fun. Though probably not as safe since the Longbottom boys death. Which had him slightly worried about the ones still there. Like Victoire, Lily, Gabrielle, and the rest of small amount of people who didn't hate him.
Today however, he pushed that from his mind as he tried to decide what to wear for the dinner he was invited to. Dinners with parents he wasn't quite as used to, considering he himself had none. There was Harry and family of course, but it wasn't just the same. And these were parents of the girl he cared about very much. Now he wasn't really the one to dress up much, and he certainly could never see himself wearing something like a whole suit (that is unless he once got to ask Victoire to marry him), but he wanted to look presentable.
Deciding to go with new jeans, a button up green shirt, and a black jacket, he looked himself over in the mirror. But as always, he just looked like himself. It seemed nothing aside from a suit could really make him look different. Well, maybe if he dressed like a priest or something. But that image was laughable. Taking a breath he walked out of his home and apparated not too far away from where Victoire and her family lived in. Walking over to the front door he knocked, waiting for someone to open the door.

"I GOT IT!" Victoire yelled rushing down the stair from her room. Her hair was in ringlets and up in low side ponytail. Light make-up was brushed all over her face, and pink blush made look radiant. Her dark brown eyes were surrounded by eyeliner and a light blue shade of eyeshadow. Her lips were painted with a light rose colored lipstick and her pearly white teeth smiled behind them. Fitted on her body was a halter top dress colored a light violet blue, decorated with rhinestones in beautiful patterns. Around her neck was a herat-shaped locket and on her wrist was a bracklet with the same type of pendant as the locket.
Victoire came to the door and opened it, seeing Teddy. The smile got even wider and her skin seemed to glow even more than it usually did. "Teddy!" she cried, wrapping her arms around him. She looked him up and down. "You look very nice tonight..." she said as she led him into the house. "Mum, Teddy's here!" she called to the kitchen
"Safe in his arms... Close to his Heart..." "At the moment your eyes meet mine - I am out of my mind - I am out of control - Full of feelings I can't define!"
"Can tell when Teddy gets here because Vic acts like a little girl again." She said with a grin, Gabby found it funny to see how her sister acted around Teddy. "Be nice." Fleur said to Gabriella before Victoire and Teddy came in the kitchen. "I always are nice." "That's my girl." Gabby smiled, before going to see Victoire and Teddy. "Hey Teddy.." Her long blond hair was down and hung just above her elbows.
It didn't take long for him to hear someone rushing to the door. Then it opened, greeting him with a sight of amazing looking Victoire. As always, though it always brought him into the speechless mood for the first few seconds. And then she gave him a hug, jump starting him back into reality. He always enjoyed her hugging him randomly, it felt nice. Not hesitating he also wrapped his arms around her, grinning. "Glad to see you too." He said slightly jokingly, looking her in the eyes.
Again as many times before, he just felt like kidnapping her and run far away, where just the two of them would be. But he knew better than to do something like that. Yet. At her comment about his look for the night he glanced himself over, really wishing he had that woman like great fashion sense in whatever clothing. "Thanks. But I'm not nearly as nice looking as you. You look like some of those fairy princesses from kid stories." He stated quite seriously, smiling at her.
Then she announced his arrival to her mother, and probably the rest of the house. Well there went the alone moment. Oh well. As Gabrielle walked over he got a bit of flashback of when he was her age. That seemed long ago. "Hey Gabby. How's life treating you? I hope good. Otherwise I'm gonna have to bite that nasty life to set it right back on track." He joked, showing he wasn't much bothered by his whole werewolf status. Well, yet he wasn't. In the future that would change.
"I've been better." She said weakly, Well she was telling the truth, she hadn't been though the best of things with first finding her best friend dead, then having everyone accuse her of been the one that murdered him. To add insult to injury she had even had her wand checked for the killing curse in front of the whole school by a ministry official. That was something that she didn't want to go though again and it was something that she would never wish on anyone. Though she couldn't help but smile when he said that he was going to have to bite to get her life back on track, He had always able to make Gabby smile without really trying. "Not looking forward to going back to Hogwarts and face Narcissa Malfoy." Her cousin had been really giving her a hard time lately and it was only going to get worse in the coming year. "...and everyone else." She said simply, but there was nothing that Gabby could do about that.
Victoire smiled. When she had heard the comment about her being a princess from the children's stories she blushed. She walked into the kitchen after him and noticed Gabriella. She had been sulking around all summer, and Victoire couldn't blame her. After the death of her best friend, Gabby hadn't been the same. Victoire smiled weakly at her, hoping some support from her big sister could help, but when she heard Gabby's words, she replied to them. "Who would want to go back to school with Cissa? She's a total nightmare..." she whispered, so hopefully only Teddy and Gabby could hear. Fleur had always taught them to be kind to their cousins, but it was really hard. "Teddy, be glad your out of school..." Narcissa had given her a hard time too, not because of the whole incident, but because she was seeing who she was with right now.
"Safe in his arms... Close to his Heart..." "At the moment your eyes meet mine - I am out of my mind - I am out of control - Full of feelings I can't define!"
In a way, Teddy could relate to Gabby. What she went through he wouldn't wish on his worst enemy. Okay, well maybe on the worst enemy. But he wasn't going to bring that up. Though the fact she smiled at his comment was encouraging. "Don't worry, life will get better. I should know. I used to not be all that liked in school. Heck, if a murder happened near me I'd be first suspect. Don't make much of it. People tend to be cruel sometimes." He said, knowing from personal experience. Smirking at Victoire's comment about Narcissa he walked over to whisper in her ear. "Now that's not nice to say about family. But in this case, I gotta agree, my little nymph." Though he made sure Gabby wouldn't hear this. "Sometimes I'm glad. But school was kinda fun. Aside from the negative part."
"Better not let mum hear you say that." Gabby said with a weak smile, Fleur and their Aunt Gabrielle liked them to get along with each other. It was actually funny when the Malfoys came over to them because under their mother's watchful eyes, Narcissa was forced to be nice. "I don't even want to go back." And it would take a lot convincing to actually get her to go. She wasn't sure that she would be able to handle all the whispers and the stares. Though Teddy's comment about life getting better was encouraging. "Really mean that about life getting better? Or just saying that to make me feel better?"
It was lucky that she hadn't heard what he whispered in her sister's ear. She was 12, and found it very weird to see her sister acting so mushy whenever Teddy came anywhere near. "and school's never fun..." She always fell asleep in history of magic. And Lily had to kick her to wake her up at the end of the lesson.
"Ahhh, who cares. It's the truth and Mum always says tell the truth," Victoire said with a smile, hoping to make her sister smile more. She pulled Teddy into the chair next to her, and peered over at Fleur, who was stil in the process of making dinner. "Mother, what's for dinner?" she asked in French. She and Gabby were fluent in the language, though they hardly ever spoke that way, except to their mother.
"Safe in his arms... Close to his Heart..." "At the moment your eyes meet mine - I am out of my mind - I am out of control - Full of feelings I can't define!"
